Arsenal ready to sign Juventus defender Merih Demiral on loan during the January transfer window.

Arsenal are considering making a move to loan in Merih Demiral from Juventus during the January transfer window. Mikel
Artetahas inherited a squad with plenty of defensive options but few have impressed in what’s been a difficult first half of the season
David Luiz has failed to bring assurance at centre-back since arriving in a shock £8m deal over the summer, while Sokratis Papastathopoulos and Shkodran Mustafi remain inconsistent.
Arsenal are, meanwhile, keen to provide Calum Chambers, Rob Holding and Konstantinos Mavropanos with opportunities to impress, so snaring a senior player who could block their progress must be avoided.
Report claim the Gunners may have found a solution in the form of Demiral, with the possibility of loaning in the Juventus defender discussed behind the scenes.
The highly-rated Turkey international joined Juventus from Sassuolo over the summer but has been made to wait for a chance with Matthijs de Ligt arriving at the same time and leapfrogging him.
Juventus might be willing to loan Demiral out in the new year to get him some much needed game time and to ensure his development is not hampered
